25 DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS

NOTE: These giveaways are open to all baby lost mamas. If you didn't sign up to host a giveaway we still want you to participate and try to win some of these GREAT items. We want to spread happiness to everyone, not just those who are hosting a day!

Welcome to my Giveaway day - my day is officially Tuesday the 15th, so I am a little early. I am not feeling that well, and will probably go to bed early tonight, and I wanted to make sure that this was ready to go for Tuesday (plus...it's Tuesday on the other side of the globe, anyway!). A big thank you to Tina @ Living Without Sophia and Ellie for putting the giveaway together. It has been something to look forward to each day, and I am looking forward to participating again next year!

Everyone in my family has always had a special Christmas stocking – I cannot remember a day that any of us have had matching stockings. About a month ago I started looking for a stocking to buy for Gracie, and came up empty after much searching. I found a few that were okay, but nothing that really spoke to me, so I decided to make my own. It was a simple enough idea when I started, but nothing is ever simple!! I have finally finished my first prototype – it doesn’t look too bad for the first one, but there are definite improvements and corrections to be made!

If you are the winner of Tuesday's giveaway, you will get a custom stocking for your angel. If you are a mama to angel twins or triplets, I will make a stocking for each angel. You can pick the color - pink, light blue or dark red. Your angel’s name will be embroidered on the cuff in the same color as your stocking. (I will be getting a darker pink thread for the names on the pink stockings, since the first shade I used is a bit too light.) Your stocking can be plain like the first picture, have simple angel wings like the second picture or have fancy feather wings like the third picture.

To register, just leave a comment below.  If we have not already 'met' please tell me something about yourself.  I will leave this giveaway open until at least 6:00 a.m. (EST) Wednesday morning, but it may be later than that until I announce the winner. If I am not able to get online to announce the winner before I go to work Wednesday, it will likely be sometime around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night until I can do so. (Winner will either be picked from a hat by DH or by random.org)

Thanks to all for stopping by!

Oh my gosh.... I love this idea! I have had a really hard time finding the "perfect" stocking for Nicholas and have about given up. Nothing seems right or good enough for our Angel. What a beautiful and unique gift!

Those are BEAUTIFUL! I also had a very hard time picking out a stocking for my angel Bryson too. I looked online and lots of stores, they just don't have what I was looking for. You did a wonderful job with these!!

hi there... the stocking is adorable. I wish I was in a christmas mood but I don't think I'll ever be in the mood for holidays again. :(

I haven't met you yet... I am a bereaved parent and wife. :( I hope to get to know you as I read through your blog today.

Take care.

Very pretty, Susan. I'm sorry to read about the loss of your beautiful Gracie. We lost our George in May 2009. Hmmm. Gracie and George - makes me think of George Burns and his beloved Gracie. Does that reference date me??!! Look forward to getting to know you better through the blogs. (((Hugs)))

These are beautiful, Susan. You are so talented. You know the gifts that are made by other bereaved mothers are so special. I think there is a special kind of love that goes into the items because that mother knows how you feel. I know whoever receives this will be blessed! I hope you are feeling better today.

What a beautiful gift! My name is Ashley. I am glad that I have found your blog. I hate that we have met under such circumstances. My son, Maxton, passed away in March from a birth defect called congenital diaphragmatic hernia. He fought for 18 days before getting his angel wings.

The stockings are so cute, Susan. I would love one!
I just read a bit on your blog and am so sorry for little Gracie. She was absolutely precious. We lost Chase 4 days after he was born via an emergency c-section because the doctor was in our opinion, too nonchalant about my care. There are many things I, too, don't understand and don't know if I ever will. But I know the really important things in life are those that we surround ourselves with, like our loved ones. My focus has completely changed to inward--on me and my family. I don't (or try not to) worry about the things on the outside. What's important to me is all within my reach....except Chase. Thanks for participating in the giveaway--it is nice to meet you!

Susan Gracie's stocking is beautiful! I haven't "met" you yet, my son grew his wings on Dec 19 after fighting for 33 days. He was born with CDH.

this stocking brought tears to my cheeks. my little girl Peyton died at one month old of Leukemia. I have wanted to get her a stocking, but none felt appropriate. the pink ones all said "baby's first christmas" I read somewhere to hang a stocking for your lost baby, and leave letters in it for her/him. That's what i would do with this beautiful stocking. whoever wins this will truly be blessed.

These are absolutely beautiful - I lost my son at 22.5 weeks due to severe pre-eclampsia in April of this year... I am now at the same point in a pregnancy with my (hopeful) rainbow.

I was wondering if maybe you would sell one of these (obviously for next year since I know you need to hand-make them) ?

They seem to fit so perfectly.

I LOVE this idea! I've really been struggling with a Christmas stocking for Sylvia. As we've never met, I'd like to share the story of Sylvia with you. She was born in February at full term. She lived for only five hours due to complications from congential diaphragmatic hernia. I am so sorry for your loss! If I don't win, could you let me know how to find angel wings like the ones you have on the stocking? If I don't win, I'd like to make one.
In tears and heartache,
Beth

What a beautiful idea. It's definitely hard to find the perfect stocking for our little ones. I'm not sure if we are on the same forums but I've been to your blog before and read Gracie's story. Such a beautiful little girl. Thanks for sharing.
