100 Followers - This Calls for a Giveaway!!

So when I logged into my blogger account this morning, the number 100 jumped off the page at me.  I know that there are lots of high profile baby loss blogs out there, and most of them have several hundred followers...but for me 100 is a big deal.  I certainly never expected to have 100 people following Gracie's story when I started this blog.  It sort of saddens me that there are 100 people out that follow Gracie's story because they can relate...

Anyway, I think to celebrate that 100 people publicly love my little Gracie, I will have a giveaway!!  Just a little one, but a giveaway, nonetheless.  (Thanks to JenJen for the 100 follower giveaway idea!)  The winner will receive $20 in credit to Small Bird Studio.  You can use it toward whatever you wish...a blog makeover, a signature, a blog button, perhaps something from Franchesca's Flourish shop...

To enter, leave a comment below and tell me what you think has been the most helpful or beneficial about belonging to (or just reading in) the baby loss blogosphere.  I encourage my blogless followers (you know who you are!) to enter, too...you don't have to have a blog to use the credit at Small Bird Studios...   I will leave things open until Friday and announce the winner Friday night or Saturday.

Also, if you haven't checked out my new blog, take a quick trip over to check it out.   It will be my place for crazy rantings about motherhood and whatever else I might need to rant about.  I also hope to be able to post various information about cloth diapering, nursing, baby products, recipes, etc.  Who knows where it might lead....

Love a giveaway!

The most helpful thing for me about bloggingland is all the wonderful friends that I have made over the last 29 months. You guys are here for me through all life crisis now and I count myself very blessed to know many of you...

That's a lovely giveaway!

Your question is hard to answer as there are so many possible answers, I have gained so much. I think for me, it is the understanding of the baby loss community. I know that our circumstances are all different, but we all all united in our understanding of what it is like to lose a much wanted child (or children). That understanding has helped me beyond anything I can describe in words as I rarely feel that in my day to day 'real' life.

I lost my sweet boys 5 months ago and truly, if it wasn't for these amazing woman I don;t know where I would be. It helps so much reading others' stories and just knowing that I am not alone. I wish I could have "met" these ladies through much different circumstances, but we are all on this journey together, and together we will make it through. Blogging is such a release for me and I am so glad I followed many suggestions of starting one. ♥

Congrats on 100 followers!!!! I'm almost there too, hard to believe. Blogging has obviously helped me with Alexandra's grief. I honestly don't know how I would be today and I love, love, love that it has introduced me to new friends, like yourself! :)

Congrats on 100 followers...im not even close lol. the thing I love about bellonging to this community is knowing in not alone and meeting so many amazing people from different parts of the world. I think it is reading other peoples blogs that helps me more then actually blogging myself.

Congrats on 100 followers! I would have the same the most helpful thing is being able to open up to fellow BLMs who know how you feel without even having to say a word. They remember the important days with you when others don't. Since this has happened to me I have said this quote and I will say it again, friends become strangers and strangers become friends <3

Congrats on 100 followers...I'm on my way there too and do plan on a giveaway once I'm there. Thanks for the opportunity to win something from Small Bird. I love Fran's things...

I have truly been touched and supported by the blogging world. I cannot imagine my life without all of you in it...especially on this journey without my Kennedy. I only hope that can be half the support of what others have given me.

((hugs))

yay a giveaway lol.

i think what has been the most helpful to me over the last 15 months is just the fact that there are others who know exactly what i am feeling and understand.

I seriously doubt I'd be here if I hadn't found the wonderful support that I did online. I've met so many women who have lost their babies... It's heartbreaking to know that there are so many others out there who have to live with this pain, but to know that they are still standing is very encouraging to me.
Congrats on 100 followers :)

How fantastic!! 100 followers is amazing!! I think the most helpful thing is just having people to relate to so that when I am having a bad day I dont think im so crazy!! I also see people doing well and that gives me hope!!

I know what you mean about followers- On one hand it's great knowing that your daughter's story is shared with so many people but difficult knowing that the majority of those people have losses on their own. I'm new to your blog but think it's great- you now have 101 followers! :)

Even though I lost Meredith in 1974, the blog world has helped me continue to release some of the anger and sorrow I still had. I feel so loved by all who have embraced me & my story.
